The Woman in Black

The Woman in Black

Director: James Watkins

Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Janet McTeer and Ciarán Hinds

People who watched this movie say:

The scariest thing in this movie is Janet McTeer’s grotesque plastic surgery. The once gentile actress now has Meg Ryan fish lips and Cher cheek boulders, not to mention an overly compressed nose. Very creepy.?

This is one of the scariest films I’ve seen in a while. Granted, I’m very easily frightened but there were some genuinely disturbing scenes and images that are likely to stick with most people after leaving the cinema. Kudos to? Daniel Radcliffe on his first post-Potter effort.

I went to see the stage version of this in London with my school about a year ago. Halfway through the second act (the scariest experience of my life) an employee in the theatre DRESSED IN BLACK crept? down the aisle, grabbed my shoulder and whispered “Could you tell those people in front of you to be quiet, please?” I’ve never screamed so loud in my life.

To be honest, this movie was more intense than I thought it was going to be. Of course it’s got the typical, “you know something’s about to happen” scenes, but the setting of the story really bumped up the creepiness level. By the way, did anyone else think “what? the hell’s going on?!?” when the woman’s (the ghost) death scene took place? That came out of nowhere!

Whats with everyone calling him harry? Seriously, its retarded. If you want to wave your wands in? front of a screen then go watch a hp film but as you can see this is nothing to do with harry potter so Just let it go,Its as if you have nothing better to do with your life.

This movie would have been far better without the music spending the entire film doing the whole “ooh… creepy… something scary’s going to happen… oooOOOHH… something SCARY…. something CREEPY… OOOOOHHHH… soooooon… any second now… OOOHHH… BOO!!! …were you scared?” Hey filmmakers, maybe? the MOVIE could be scary and not just the music…?
